JSJ and CTL Working together on a Project Shipment

29 Jan JSJ and CTL Working together on a Project Shipment

We are excited to share an update from James Watford (International Rates) and Steve Cataldo (Director, Special Projects) at John S. James Co. in the United States, following their recent visit to the North Charleston Terminal.

James and Steve coordinated the ocean transport of an Industrial Blow Moulding Machine from Germany to Charleston, working closely with our GLA partner CTL in Germany. This 32-ton piece required loading with two 60-ton cranes at 90 degrees due to the spreader bar not being wide enough to handle the 23-foot gap between lift points. Larkin Express Logistics managed the final delivery to the customer’s location in South Carolina, where the end user received the machine.

The machine is designed to produce large quantities of plastic pieces based on the mould placed within it. Along with the main machine, there are seven containers of components for full assembly and use.
